Case description

The fibrous band of scar tissue that has tethered the left eustachian tube cushion to the posterior nasopharynx has kept the torus in an "open" position, producing a patulous eustachian tube and autophonia. Endoscopic division of the band cured the autophonia. Courtesy of Professor Heinz Stammberger, University of Graz, Austria.
