Secondary Infection of Post-Tonsillectomy Bed
Case description
This image shows an infected post-tonsillectomy bed which precede episodes of bleeding occuring on day 8 postoperative day. Murky grey coated infected material with thick mucous seen on either sides. Parenteral antibiotic was prescribed and the patient had severe haemorrhage on the same day which needed haemostasis, toilet and debridement under general anaesthesia.
