Comedones
Case description
A comedone consist of a collection of keratin debris and sebum trapped at the opening of a pilosebaceous follicle. If the follicle is closed, this collection appears whitish and is referred to as a "whitehead". If the comedo is situated in an open follicle, the superficial contents darken with time and are referred to as a "blackhead".
