Mastoid Air Cell System
Case description
This axial CT scan demonstrates the mastoid air cell system. On the right the mastoid air cells are healthy and air-filled, whereas on the left they are cloudy due to the presence of fluid. This is not a case of acute mastoiditis but instead of chronic otitis media.
