Chronic Mixed Pathogen Otitis Externa
Case description
This patient presents with a chronic deep canal otitis externa which was the result of mixed pathogens including both bacterial and fungal elements. These cases a swab for culture may well be of benefit directing topical therapy. Most cases of chronic bacterial otitis externa are the result of poor aural toilet.
