Tympanosclerosis
Case description
Note crescent -shaped white horseshoe of tympanosclerosis in the medial layer of this right tympanic membrane. These intra-tympanic patches of intratympanic sclerosis usually do not affect the patient's hearing. They are sometimes referred to as "chalk patches".
