Case description

Mr.Smith had a condition in the spine known as kyphosis. Persons with kyphosis can have a humpback appearance. Due to his kyphosis Mr.Smith cannot lay down flat. The two hospital personnel applied downward pressure at his shoulders and knees.As a result of the downward forces applied by the two hospital personnel to Mr.Smith's spine Mr.Smith suffered a displaced shear fracture of his T10 vertebrae.As a result of the shear fracture injury,Mr. Smith now suffers from permanent paralysis beginning at the level of the navel and down through both legs.He is bowel an bladder incontinent.
