Case description

Routine cataract surgery turned complex due to posterior capsule rupture during phacoemulsification. Viscoelastic was used to stabilize the anterior segment, the remaining nuclear pieces removed, cortex evacuated with bimanual anterior vitrectomy and a single piece acrylic lens placed with reverse optic capture through the capsulorhexis.
