Case description

During transabdominal preperitoneal repair (TAPP) for groin hernia, completion of dissection of the hernia sac can be recognized when traction on the sac produces an inverted fundus. This inverted fundus represents the stretched transversalis fascia rather than the true peritoneal sac.
