Benefits of fascial closure, and intraperitoneal suturing of the mesh are facilitated by the minimally invasive robotic platform. Transabdominal preperitoneal approach is very attractive to surgeons as it isolates the synthetic mesh from viscera as well as preserves the Holy retro rectus plane. However, TAPP has a significant learning curve and surgeons in their early careers struggle with creation of the preperitoneal plane, flapdissection and placement of large mesh. We present simple tricks in surgeons; armamentarium to achieve a successful outcome in TAPP.
