Case description

This video was part of the Video Loop during the SAGES 2020 Virtual Meeting. Topic: Robotics / Advanced Technologies Robotic Preperitoneal Repair of Large Spigelian Hernia in the Setting of Large Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. Brittany Kern, MD, Mazen R Al-Mansour, MD, FACS. Baystate Medical Center.

The patient is an 82 year old male with a large symptomatic left incarcerated spigelian hernia and multiple medical comorbidities, including being on *brand hidden*. He had a previous open right hemicolectomy and an EVAR for an 8cm AAA. The video shows the robotic operative repair techniques utilized, with increased technical difficulty given the previous open surgeries and large aneurysm that essentially required the robot for visualization and quality repair; A preperitoneal repair was performed, utilizing the Ventralite ST Echo mesh system. Post-operatively, the patient suffered from bleeding complications after resuming his *brand hidden*, however this was stopped, and he completely recovered.
