Case description

Clinical case: 20-year-old female patient with no known medical history presented with abdominal pain, early satiety, and nausea. A contrast-enhanced abdominal CT scan was requested, revealing a large lesion in the tail of the pancreas. A sample was subsequently taken for cytological analysis using CT-guided FNA, which revealed a pseudopapillary tumor of the tail of the pancreas. The patient was scheduled for surgery, and the following procedure was performed: laparoscopic corporocaudal pancreatectomy with preservation of the spleen and splenic vessels: Kimura technique.
