Case description

What do we do for a giant tumor occupying the whole retroperitoneal pelvic space?Complete resection of the tumor was done using a combination of laparoscopic and perineal approaches. We used the articulating laparoscopic instruments to facilitate dissection in an extremely narrow space between the tumor, pelvic wall, and the sacrum. Ultralow anterior resection was carried out along with removing the tumor as two intact lobes, and colo-anal anastomosis was fashioned using interrupted sutures.
