SAGES 2024 - Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons

Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of SAGES President, Dr. Pat Sylla, and the Program Chairs, we would like to invite you to attend the 2024 SAGES Annual Meeting.

We are excited to host this year’s SAGES meeting at the Cleveland Convention Center from April 17 – 20, 2024. In reflection of one of the core values of SAGES, the theme of the meeting is Innovate and Collaborate for a Sustainable Future. Our goal is to educate surgeons on quality surgery balanced with the social, environmental and social demands.

This year’s meeting will include a focus on expert “how-I-do it” video-driven education, instruction on the incorporation of technology into practice, and the introduction of new and emerging innovation. We are excited to dive into the future of Surgical Specialties and discuss best practices for patient optimization. We are collaborating with multiple surgical societies to bring the best and brightest to you in a packed week of education and networking.

As is typical of SAGES meetings, we expect to have a lot of FUN! Surgical Family Feud is back with our emcee, Dr. Ross Goldberg at the helm. We have our beloved Shark Tank competition and have added the Pup Cup for all of those inventors out there who are early in the development (did you know baby sharks are called pups?). In the true spirit of “work hard, play hard,” we will have an array of social and fitness activities scheduled throughout the week. Want to go for a run around Cleveland? Sip on some of the finest whiskey? Or make some cheese with Eric Pauli? Why not do it together!? We will be highlighting and coordinating these events throughout the week – look for it on our SAGES Meeting App.

Of course, it isn’t a SAGES meeting without our amazing Friday Night Main Event. No one does it quite like SAGES! Join us at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for food, music and friendship.

And feel free to pack up your bag, put on those sweats and head to the Saturday sessions the next day where we are instituting Casual Saturday. No suits or ties allowed as we all relax and enjoy the final day of stellar sessions together.

As with all SAGES meetings, we will put the program in the palm of your hands. The SAGES Meeting App will provide access to meeting content via your handheld devices, and emails and tweets during the meeting will keep attendees informed.
