The course is primarily designed for pathologists, but may also be also interesting for biomedical scientists. This time we will focus on immunohistochemical issues in diagnostic pathology of gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, respiratory tract, kidneys and urinary tract and INI1/SMARCB1 deficient tumors. Important issues of PDL1 testing, common diagnostic pitfalls in hematopathology and soft tissue pathology as well as technical and interpretation pitfalls in immunohistochemistry will be presented. The immunohistochemical approach to unknown primary tumor and emerging diagnostic antibodies as well as application of molecular biologic techniques in diagnostic pathology will also be discussed.
Before the course there will be a possibility to study digital slides from carefully selected seminar cases, which later will be presented and discussed during the course. The live microscopy session (Consultation Corner) with international experts commenting on-site on received consultation cases in gastrointestinal pathology is also planned.
