Prof. Ingrid Kreissig is a world-renowned retina specialist and pioneer in retinal detachment surgery. She trained under Harvey Lincoff, with whom she developed the famous Lincoff rules and Lincoff–Kreissig rules for identifying retinal breaks. In this talk, she clearly explains the Lincoff-Kreissig rules and their clinicalapplication in identifying the retinal breaks in reoperation. Prof. Kreissig’s contributions have shaped modern vitreoretinal surgery and continue to influence generations of ophthalmologists worldwide.
