Participants will be able to: 1) Recall the etiology, pathophysiology, and signs and symptoms of concussion 2) Define second impact syndrome and its complications/significance 3) Utilize concussion assessment tools to assess and manage concussion 4) Determine medical clearance and return to play recommendations 5) Consider when and how to interpret neuropsychological testing

Pediatric Overuse Injuries
Participants will be able to: 1) Determine diagnosis and treatment of Pediatric cases of Orthopedic injuries 2) Utilize cases to illustrate diagnostic and treatment strategies 3) Consider the evidence for treatments of overuse injuries

Exercise Rx, What and For Whom?
Participants will be able to: 1) Distinguish health benefits that can be attained from regular physical activity. 2) Prepare effective exercise prescriptions using the FITT-PRO. 3) Address barriers to implementation that may exist for some patients

The Pain of Aging: Osteoarthritis
Participants will be able to: 1) Identify signs and symptoms suggestive of osteoarthritis 2) Counsel patients on the benefits of exercise for treatment and prevention 3) Counsel patients when to consider glucosamine, chondroitin, supplements, icing, bracing, accupuncture, and surgery 4) Determine when viscosupplements or cortisone injection may be helpful

Shoulder Examination Workshop
Participants will be able to: 1) Determine history elements to establish the diagnosis or cause of shoulder pain 2) Select the most effective and evidence based physical examination tests to establish the diagnosis of shoulder pain 3) Demonstrate proficiency in a number of examination techniques, including inspection, palpation, range of motion, and special tests for the shoulder 4) Assess an injured patient’s range of motion, stability, bone alignment, soft tissue swelling, pain or tenderness and crepitation of the shoulder
