This one-of-a-kind CME course is designed to ensure that you have the requisite tools and techniques to publish in various venues including - but not limited to - books, magazine and newspaper articles, blogs, office kiosk information, patient brochures, newsletters and mobile apps. This course is appropriate for those who want to publish information for either consumers or professionals (or both).

The course offers instruction on effective writing with an emphasis on how to get your work published. Mastering the many ethical issues concerning publicity and promotion of your work are also strongly emphasized. You will be given numerous opportunities to network with your peers as well as with superb faculty and other publishing professionals. To enhance your skills, small highly-interactive writers' workshops (optional) are held in the evening and led by editors, literary agents and professional writers. Advanced workshops are also held for those who want more specialized training.

A hallmark of the program is the optional event called Oral Book Pitches. The Oral Book Pitches will offer you a chance to have instant feedback on your proposal from a panel of publishing experts. The course covers the critical steps for approaching editors, literary agents and other publishing professionals to improve your chance of getting your work published. You are encouraged (but not required) to bring a written sample of your work to the course.
