This CME medical conference is designed for those who desire to improve their exercise testing skills. It is taught by a physician who has performed exercise testing (ET) for 30 years. Registrants should be familiar with basic principles of ET prior to taking this medical conference. The CME medical conference will review the current statistical and scientific value of ET. Interpretation of the tracings will be emphasized. Special protocols, appropriate testing in select patient populations, and testing of those with exercise-induced asthma (EIA) will be reviewed. Common abnormal responses to exercise testing will be discussed. There will also be discussion of methods to identify and stratify patients at-risk for coronary artery disease utilizing evidence-based data. Special imaging techniques, including nuclear imaging, with exercise testing will also be reviewed. Case studies will be presented to reinforce the principles presented.
