International Family Medicine Completes a Decade of Achievements
4,000 healthcare professionals and visitors, 50 expert speakers, 36 scientific sessions

Dubai, UAE – 5 December 2023: The momentous 10th edition of the International Family Medicine Conference and Exhibition – IFM, concluded with many achievements and praise from attendees who continue to pledge their full support in this vital field. IFM 2023, which took place from October 31st to November 2nd at the Dubai World Trade Centre, aimed at promoting and maintaining the best ethics and high-quality standards in the primary healthcare system through continuous education and informative discussions.

More than 4,000 people from 52 countries around the world attended the 11th edition where the latest research was showcased through 36 scientific sessions from 50 internationally renowned experts. The most recent advancements in technology were on display from over 50 international brands through the exhibition hall and hands-on workshops showcasing cutting-edge tools to diagnose and treat patients, with exercises on effective maneuvers meant to give confidence and
comfort. Additionally, there were 90 poster presentations shedding light on ground-breaking scientific research. Participants also received 19.5 CME credits from the Dubai Health Authority.

His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, officially inaugurated IFM on its first day and toured the event hall where he witnessed the display of knowledge-sharing and advancements in technology while being accompanied by Dr. Ibtesam Al Bastaki, Conference Chairperson of IFM, and several international dignitaries and industry professionals.

H.E. Al Ketbi highlighted that such healthcare events provide an excellent platform for healthcare professionals from all over the world to exchange knowledge and expertise, and discuss the latest advances in the field with an aim to provide the highest quality of healthcare to patients and further enhance health systems.

Dr. Ibtesam Al Bastaki, Conference Chairperson of IFM 2022, stated: “During this milestone occasion held in Dubai, we had the pleasure of hosting colleagues from around the world that shared our common concerns and further strengthening collaboration efforts to share scientific research and breakthroughs on a united platform. The 10th edition of IFM has proven more than ever why it is essential that we continue our commitment to enhancing primary healthcare, and we look forward to extending our dedication moving forward.” Many companies and participants also expressed their pleasure with the outcome of IFM 2023 and have already begun booking their reservations for next year’s event.
