11th IFSO-EC Congress 2023

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It´s my great pleasure and honour to welcome you to the 11th Congress of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders – European Chapter (IFSO-EC), which is going to be held in Zürich, Switzerland on May 4-6, 2023.

Together with the scientific committee, the IFSO-EC Excecutive council, and the local organizing committee we anticipated to design an excellent program attracting bariatric/metabolic surgeons, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, researchers in the field of obesity, and allied health specialists. Pre-congress courses will be offered, state-of-the-art lectures, interdisciplinary and interprofessional panel discussions, abstract sessions on the latest scientific work and video presentations will provide a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas in an open and friendly atmospherere.

In the heart of Europe, Zurich is easy to reach with over 170 direct flights from all over the world. The airport is only 10min away from the city centre. Travelling by train is comfortable and usually on time. The newly renovated congress centre is located in the middle of the city, directly on the lake with a spectacular view from all lecture halls across the lake into the Swiss Alps. Several pre-booked hotel accommodations are offered within walking distance of the Congress Centre. From Zürich a number of tourist attractions of Switzerland can be reached within 1-3 hours by train.
