Dear Colleagues, Members of the ESCP
It is a great honour and pleasure as President of the ESCP to invite you to our Society’s annual conference. After two years of virtual-only events for our main congress, we are looking forward to experiencing the richness and depth of an in-person meeting in Dublin, Ireland, from 21st to 23rd September 2022.
The various committees of the Society - Programme, Educational, Research, Guidelines, Communications, Membership, Global Reach - and our supporting team have contributed to an exciting and educational event, which covers an extensive range of topics, reflects the latest developments in Coloproctology and targets a diverse audience.
In this time of uncertainty, we believe it will be an exceptional opportunity to meet again, interact in person, exchange ideas, learn from scientific and educational content and enjoy social activities with friends and colleagues. Please be assured that every effort will be made to make this a safe meeting.
For those that are unable to attend our conference in person, there will be a virtual element delivered through the ESCP platforms.
I am looking forward to welcoming you to the 17th annual meeting of our Society. Your participation will contribute to the ongoing success of one of the world's leading Societies in Coloproctology.
Klaus E. Matzel, President of ESCP
The ESCP General Secretary's Welcome Message
General Secretary of ESCP
As General Secretary of the ESCP, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us in September 2022 for our yearly Scientific Meeting.
Following the uncertainty the past few years we are delighted and excited to welcome you to join us face-to-face in Dublin, Ireland!
Despite the challenges presented by Covid the Coloproctology industry has come out the other side with huge opportunity and promise with new ideas, new data and new technologies allowing us to rise to that challenge. We will hear more of this during the meeting! It will be a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues and like-minded individuals that we have not seen for a while, I for one am looking forward to meeting with you.
For wider participation within the global community of colorectal surgeons a virtual element will be available on ESCP platforms.
Thanks for your ever growing support for the initiatives of our Society, your Society.
Antonino Spinelli, General Secretary of ESCP
