This year’s meeting will feature an exciting scientific and social program. the theme of the meeting is “the Complexity of Measuring True Quality in Skull Base Surgery”. As physicians, we are increasingly being evaluated by hospital discharge billing information, on-line web sites, and patient satisfaction surveys.

During the Plenary sessions, we will delve into the complexity of determining true quality on multiple levels. Our keynote Speaker  is dr. Vinod Sahney. Dr. Sahney is a Senior fellow at the institute for Healthcare improvement. He will speak on “reliability: the next Challenge in Health Care Quality improvement”. Other keynote speakers include this year’s honored guests: dr. Jon Robertson and dr. Hugh Curtain. 

The Scientific Program Chair is Michael Chicoine, Md. the meeting co-directors are Siviero Agazzi, Md (neurosurgery), Mark Varvares, Md (Head and neck) and Nikolas Blevins, Md (neurotology).

As a new feature this year, the top 6 submitted abstracts will be presented in the Plenary Sessions followed by a comment from a senior nASBS member. the meeting will also feature a series of Breakfast Seminars on “How i do it”, as well as numerous Concurrent Topic Sessions and Abstract Presentations.
