Aims of the course

This highly interactive workshop is at the cutting edge of current concepts of surgical treatment of breast cancer. It will focus on the evidence-based clinical practice and technical aspects of breast cancer surgery within a multidisciplinary approach.

The programme will include state-of-the-art lectures, meet-the-expert type workshops and case discussions aiming at facilitating the interaction between participants and teachers.

Senior residents (last two years of specialisation with clinical interest in breast cancer)
Surgical oncologists
Breast surgeons within 5 years after ending specialisation residency
Medical and radiation oncologists with 3-5 years of experience in the treatment of breast cancer patients

Tailored treatment of DCIS and other risk lesions (LCIS, ADH, etc)
Management of breast cancer in older and younger women
Management of BRCA gene carriers and high risk women including risk assessment, enhanced screening, risk reducing surgery and chemoprevention
