Over the past few years, cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking research have lead to the birth of a new instrument with great potential in medicine and biology; genetic engineering. Genetic engineering has already found a wide range of application: from disease prevention to the development of personalised medicine. However, this exciting new technique also poses some challenges such as defining its ethical and political limits. With our panel discussion bringing together renowned professors and researchers from all around the world, we aim to create a platform, where you can share your opinions and thoughts about the future of genetic engineering with experts in this field.
Being an interdisciplinary topic, we will also be focusing on the application of genetic engineering in various fields of medicine such as Oncology and Geriatrics to name a few. Other than lectures and pannel discussions, we are also planning exciting workshops and, of course, social events, where you can mingle with other participants and guests!
This year’s ESC will take place from the 27th to the 30th of September 2017 in Berlin, the vibrant capital of Germany. The venue of the conference will be the Charité – Universitätsmedizin, one of the largest university hospitals in Europe and one of Germany’s leading medical institutions in research.
