We are delighted to welcome you to 3rd International Neonatology Association Conference (INAC 2017) in Lyon, France. As well as offering you an exciting scientific program we are also giving you the opportunity to discover a beautiful, vibrant city full of charm and history.

Lyon is a well-connected city, half way between Paris and the Mediterranean Sea (French Riviera) and 01h30 from the French Alps and Provence area. Our international airport allows easy access to the city.

Between the Saône and Rhône rivers, the Presqu’île area is the heart of busy activity around the neighbourhood’s businesses, shops, bookstores and theatres. Charming squares and prestigious buildings are present all around this district, which is ideal for just wandering around.

Lyon is the capital of silk weaving in France. Visiting the Old City will lead you to an encounter with 2,000 years of history in the narrow streets or to finding out about the history of silk weavers in Croix-Rousse. The Renaissance district, a world heritage architectural wonder listed by UNESCO, is the largest area of its kind in France.

There are 38 museums in Lyon, from the Fine Arts Museum, Contemporary Art Museum to Gallo-Roman Museum of Lyon-Fourvière. This archaeological site is located on the slopes of the Fourvière hill, formerly in the centre of the Roman City of Lugdunum, founded in 43 B.C. A superb collection of mosaics, sarcophagi, statues and artifacts, are preserved in this museum. You can also visit the Lumière Museum which traces the history of the Cinematographe invention in the 19th century. Lyon is considered to be the birthplace of cinema because Lumiere brothers invented a new photographic process and patented the « cinematographe ». The family home is now the Lumière Museum and traces the history of the Cinematographe invention in 1895.

The city of Lyon is well-known as a gastronomic hotspot with more than 4000 restaurants and places dedicated to fine food (Halles Paul Bocuse). There are 22 ‘starred’ Chefs in Lyon area, well known all over the world. Close to Lyon there are the famous Burgundy, Beaujolais and Cote de Rhône wine producing regions.

INAC 2017 attendees can be assured of the warmest welcome and our undivided attention to make this meeting an event to remember. We look forward to providing you an unforgettable INAC event.
