The Royal College of Surgeons of England is delighted to announce that its 5th Global Surgical Frontiers (GSF) Conference will be taking place on Friday 15 April 2016.
The aim of the Global Surgical Frontiers Conference is to provide information and opportunities for surgeons, trainees and consultants; to address issues raised by surgeons and to identify opportunities to work overseas.
The GSF theme for 2016 will focus on The Lancet Commission on Global Surgery, one year on. The whole day will consist of a forum for presentations, poster competitions, discussions and debates on different responses to the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery 2015, drawing from current projects and future ones.
This one day conference aims to challenge the audience of practitioners, students, retirees, and educators to consider new paradigms of how high income countries can and should engage in global surgery over the coming decade.
The conference will also provide an opportunity for medical students and surgical trainees to enter a poster competition on the theme "Capacity Building on Global Surgery".
