12th ICRS World Congress in Chicago

t’s a great honour to invite you to the 12th ICRS World congress in Chicago – the world-class city steeped in the American spirit. We will again meet to share our results, experiences, techniques and failures in the field of cartilage repair. Members, scientists, interested doctors, industrial partners and allied health professionals are equally welcome to experience the special blend of ICRS meetings.

Education requires skills, an open mind and tolerance towards new ideas and criticism. Bring your curiosity to Chicago and listen to lectures far outside you core competence. Then you ask questions – the person presenting, the person sitting next to you, your co-workers at home, google and others. This is the best way to learn from the very diverse specialists ICRS brings together for the world congress.

Why do we call it world congress? Cartilage defects and degeneration affect millions of people and ICRS is not a society meant to discuss matters among ourselves. Surgery is done for our patients, research is done to control our treatments or to develop new medications. We are working hard over the years to develop, test, modify, delete... but at some point - we have to tell the world what is going on in the field. At the world congress we have the chance to battle the best and share with the world. Going public for knowledge!

Next to the world congress ICRS pursues this community service with e.g. our patient education platform, the CARTILAGE Journal and the Cartilage Registry. National and international health authorities, industrial partners and private institutions show a growing demand for the combined expertise of ICRS in the field of cartilage repair.
