Aim of the Event

The aim of this course is to give participants a foundation of practical skills on commonly performed tasks during posterior cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal procedures as well as anterior and lateral procedures. Since theoretical sessions will be provided online prior to the course there will be lecutres during the course in order to focus only on practical experience.

Target Participants

This course is aimed at advanced spine surgeons with at least 5 years of experience in spine surgery. Participants will be allocated at the table according to their knowledge and experience.

Event Objectives

At the end of this course participants should be able of management of anterior, lateral and posterior approaches of the anterior spine and the following specific techniques as:

• C1-C2 fixation
• Lateral mass screw insertion in the subaxial cervical spine
• Cervical pedicle screw placement
• Anterior cervical corporectomy
• Anterior approach of the cervico-thoracic junction
• Postero-lateral approach in thoracic spine (Costotransversectomy)
• Anterior lateral approach of the thoraco-lumbar junction
• Osteotomies (thoracolumbar)
• Iliosacral fixation
• Anterior and lateral lumbar approaches (ALIF, TDR, etc.)
