15th European VitreoRetinal Society Meeting

The 15th EVRS Meeting will, as always, follow the EVRS congress philosophy. There will be no invited and paid lecturers. The program will be built only on the basis of the abstract submissions. Every member, including all EVRS Board members, will pay his registration fee and will be treated equally. EVRS's goal is not to promote certain privileged lecturers but for all participants to share their tricks, knowledge and experience.
The goal of the congress is to critically analyze whether classical techniques are still favored or newer ones that are "in fashion" are more beneficial to our patients. Perhaps we will discover that certain treatments that may be the result of peer pressure are not truly as effective as they are promoted to be.

Let us stimulate an interactive exchange between the promoters of new drugs or non-established therapeutical approaches and the defenders of standard therapies or classical instruments. This should compel everyone to explain more thoroughly the basis for each individual decision. From this confrontation hopefully answers to our questions will emerge.
