2. To understand the role and limitations of echocardiography in the assessment of patients with aortic diseases.

3. To recognize key echocardiographic features of acute aortic syndromes.

4. To recognize the spectrum of thoracic aortic aneurysms, associated clinical syndromes, requisite screening, and indications for surgical intervention.
