Can cataract be cured purely by eye drops?

This, in turn, causes not only a serious disability, but also a lowering of the quality of the patients’ life together with burdening the budget of the developed countries since the disease concerns mainly the aging populations. Until now the only cataract treatment perspective was the use of various surgical methods. This situation can be changed, however, by the discovery of the team of scientists from the University of California in San Diego who have described lanosterol as the potential eye drop ingredient that could contribute to the development of pharmacotherapy of the disorder. Advances in lens implant technology

Last 60 years have brought about significant developments in the cataract surgery.
