The Diagnosis of Brain Death
Case description
The collection of cells, tissues or organs for transplantation is allowed after the confirmation of permanent and irreversible cessation of brain activity. The diagnosis of brain-stem death does not require additional tests - apart from clinical trials - with correctly made statements and exclusions. The video material shows the correct physical examination in order to confirm or exclude the cessation of brain activity.
