Case description

Hemicolectomy is an excision of right or left part of the colon. Traditionally the procedure is conducted with the classical access, which is performed by incision of the abdominal wall. Then the part of the colon is removed. After hemicolectomy there may be a necessity of performing permanent or temporary stoma. The above film shows the endoscopic examination conducted after right hemicolectomy.
