Case description

48- year- old male presented with a 9-centimeter tumor of the scalp, liquid inside, hard outside (crust), having an unpleasant smell and rapid growth. Core biopsy revealed angiosarcoma. Computed tomography of the head showed a 8x9 cm in diameter tumor, not infiltrating the parietal bone. No distant metastases were identified. The lesion was excised and the tissue defect was filled with free skin flaps harvested from both inner arm. Histopathological examination revealed a 8x9 cm angiosarcoma, spreading along nerve fibers.  All margins were clear of tumor by 1.2 centimeters. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was referred for radiotherapy.
