Here is a way that a Belgian lab tech taught me to separate dies that were really close - use the saw apically to coronally.

Use a pear shaped bur in either a fwd/reverse motion to trim crown and bridge dies efficiently. The pear shaped bur will almost develop the correct emergence profile for the die.
