Laryngeal Oedema Due To Hypersensitivity Reaction
Case description
This video shows oedema involving the left arytenoid, ariepiglottic fold, lateral hypopharyngeal wall, and lingual surface of epiglottis secondary to hypersensitivity reaction after a meal containing seafood. The reaction causes throat irritation and foreign body sensation. There were no stridor or true dysphagia. It responds well to short course of oral corticosteroid.
