Case description

In this video we can see grommet which is extruded into the ear canal admixed with an earwax. Because of a persistent middle ear effusion the eardrum appeared bulging. The explanation of the extrusion of this type of short-term ventilation tube is that the epithelial migration is a natural process which occurs in the ear passage and starts at the centre of the eardrum and it is going outward.
