Case description

A large central perforation of the right eardrum with plaques of myringosclerosis anterosuperior and posterosuperiorly is presented in this particular case. Negative result of Rinne's test is expected and Weber's lateralize to the same side in pure conductive deafness. Difficulties during myringoplasty may be caused by an anterior bony hump. An alternative way of treatment means that patient should avoid water or other contaminants from getting into the ear. A hearing aid is used to have optimal binaural hearing.
