The long columella was created from the incus and fixed on the footplate and under the handle of the manubrium. Next, the pieces of cartilage were taken from the pinna, formed and used to elevate tympanic membrane reconstructed from the fascia of temporal muscle during previous surgery. The aim of elevation of the tympanic membrane was to prevent the adhesion with the mucosa of the promontory. The efficiancy of MFA (malleus footplate assembly) was confirmed. The soft tissue and skin behind the ear were sutured in layers.
