Case description

This film presents a surgery of bilateral abductor vocal fold palsy. There was performed left posterior cordectomy with subtotal arytenoidectomy with removal of vestibular fold. Laser parameter was set at superpulse mode, 10 W, continous with linear aiming bundle at 1.5 mm lengh. There were no problems with homeostasis, concomitant bleeding were controlled with adrenaline 1:1000 cotton swab and by using monopolar suction diathermy. The bare-assesed surface was gingerly wiped with wet cottonoids to remove charred tissues after carbonization. For homeostatic and tissue healing properties can be applied Tisseel. To reduce postoperative acid reflux inflammation was prescribed routinely proton pump inhibitor for 3-6 weeks.
