Case description
When there is scarring the tissues around the spine , a caudal injection is used to deliver the medication into the epidural space (safe zone).The procedure allows the administration of medications into the caudal canal , which is an extension of the epidural space (safe zone).The needle placement is confirmed with x-ray contrast.After confirmation of the needle placement , the medication is injected into the epidural space (safe zone).The caudal injection offers a safer approach as the needle cannot penetrate the dura (outer layer).
