Dr. Lane discusses the significance of the recent publications concerning the anterolateral ligament of the knee or so-called "new ligament". A case of surgical repair of the anterolateral ligament is presented. The primal problem after ACL injury is the pivot shift, which is a test for ACL injury. The anterolateral ligament of the knee is supposed to help with restoring rotational stability in the joint. In the video we are presented with 3d computer model and explanation, how steps that are taken during the surgery will help to restore the lost function.
