Material type: Patient, Educational
These are benign tumors. In the skull, slow growing. Originate from meninges can occur any where in the skull. When they occur in above said region they press on optic nerves and lead to progressive visual loss starting in one eye and involving other eye. OPTHALMOLOGICAL EXAMINATION, MRI /CT SCAN BRAIN will diagnose the problem and microsurgical excision will prevent the visual loss and help in slow recovery of vision. This lady post excision is doing very well with good useful visual recovery.
Procedure performed by dr Suresh Dugani.
