  Femoral hernias are more common in women than in men. Illness is presented as a protrusion or bulge in the upper part of the thigh near the groin. Chronic constipation and cough, heavy lifting and obesity can contribute to develop of hernia. Repair procedures are performed using: polypropylene mesh, polyester mesh and polytetrafluoroethylene patches (ePTFE). Here we can see PHD device in a strangulated hernia. We observe an incarcerated femoral hernia sac which is cleared by cutting the inguinal ligament.
