Case description

Rubber Band Ligation - This procedure involves placing a small rubber band at the base of the internal hemorrhoid. The band cuts off blood supply to the hemorrhoid, causing it to shrivel up and fall off in about four to seven days. We place two rubber bands for each hemorrhoid in a basis of one treatment every one week. Today, nonsurgical methods are an alternative to surgical ones. Band ligation of internal hemorrhoids is a well-established and accepted office procedure.
