Intrapapillary infiltration

Case description

This is a demonstration of an intrapapillary infiltration. This is given after the labial infiltration as an alternative to a palatal infiltration and is usually much more comfortable.

The idea is to come in perpendicular to the papilla at a level that is above the crestal bone but below the crest of the gingiva. As with any injection, give it slowly and advance the needle bit by bit until the palatal mucosa blanches.
